Career Overview
Riley joined Hanna, Campbell & Powell in 2025 with a focus on insurance coverage and defense. He graduated from Ashland University, magna cum laude, with degrees in History, Political Science, Spanish, and Religion. Riley earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law, magna cum laude, while also obtaining certificates in Litigation and Business. During law school, he received three CALI awards for his work in Insurance, Family, and Remedies law. He was further honored with the Roo Award for best advocate in trial academy.
Before joining HCP, Riley gained valuable experience working at a small law firm specializing in real estate law, serving as a judicial clerk at the Wayne County Court of Common Pleas, and working in the claims department of an insurance agency. He brings the knowledge and diverse litigation skills he gained to his work at HCP.
Riley is committed to advocating for his clients and obtaining the best possible outcome. He will bring attention to detail, legal creativity, and kindness to every aspect of his practice.
Outside of the office, he enjoys grand strategy board games, hiking, canoeing, and cooking. When he’s not in the office or outdoors, he often volunteers in his community and at church. The Supreme Court of Ohio has recognized his pro-bono work by presenting him with the Access to Justice Foundation award for over 850+ hours of service.
