Career Overview

Ms. Yoder earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law in May 2007. During law school, she was recognized for her academic excellence with the CALI Award in Insurance Law and the Magistrate Karam Excellence Award.

After graduation, Ms. Yoder began her legal career at a Fort Wayne, Indiana law firm, where she practiced for three years. Her work primarily focused on insurance defense, representing clients in complex litigation matters. She also advised corporate clients on OSHA investigations and citations, antitrust claims, and labor disputes.

In 2011, Ms. Yoder returned to the Akron area and joined HCP, where she currently practices in the firm’s litigation and medical malpractice groups. She represents a wide range of clients in the medical field, including physicians, hospitals, nurses, and nursing homes. Her practice also includes defending clients against claims involving bodily injury, wrongful death, premises liability, and defective construction. Ms. Yoder has successfully defended clients in jury trials in Cuyahoga, Summit, Medina, Stark, Lake, and Guernsey County.

A resident of Stark County, Ms. Yoder enjoys spending her free time with her twin sons.

Before earning her law degree, Ms. Yoder graduated from Ashland University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Drawn to helping others solve problems, she found that same purpose in her legal career. As a defense attorney, Ms. Yoder is committed to advocating for her clients and resolving their legal matters efficiently and effectively.
